Three Great Authors This Week!

Photo above: Sarah Forsythe (left) and Emma Wood (right) bid a fond farewell to Ashley Bohinc (center) on her last day Friday at Main Street Reads…

Before we get to the week’s lineup, our staff has some lineup news, too! First, it is with a heavy heart that we say so long to our weekday morning bookseller, Ashley Bohinc. Ashley and her hubby Tyler are heading back north, moving closer to family as they prepare to start a family of their own.

Ashley Bohinc (at right) passes the book baton to our new morning bookseller, Sarah Forsythe (at left).

We’re going to miss Ashley something fierce, but we all wish her all the best, and she promises to come back and visit soon.

Happily, Sarah Forsythe will be stepping into Ashley’s big shoes, and she’s been shadowing team members over the past few weeks to get up to speed on our favorite books and favorite readers. Sarah joins veteran Emma June Wood as our premier booksellers – please give her a “welcome aboard” when you see her!

And… Colleen Rackleff will be back THIS Wednesday after maternity leave to delight our young readers with songs and books at Stories on the Square. Best of all, we get to meet the newest addition to the Main Street Reads extended family!

And now… let’s get to this week because we have not one, not two, but THREE great authors appearing this week: Syril Levin Kline (Shakespeare’s Changeling); AF Winter (Man in the Pandemic); and Sherrika Myers (Herbie Goes to School). Read on…

Join us for a special booksigning with Charleston’s own Roger B. Newman, with his newly released, Will O’ the Wisp: Madness, War, and Recompense. Polarizing, fire-eating discourse, propaganda, and aversion to reason bred secession madness in Charleston, S.C., and sold rebellion to a population with virtually nothing to gain and everything to lose.
