Today’s Meet the Author: George McDaniel

Hope y’all have your local history hats on (or at the ready) because resident local historian and former director of Drayton Hall will be here today to sign and talk about Drayton Hall Stories. It’s a fascinating read (and George McDaniel is equally fascinating). The event begins at 3:30 with some light refreshments and will extend beyond our regular open hours until 5 p.m.

See you on Main Street!

From Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Bookclub:

Going to Carolina in your mind? You’re not alone. Taylor Swift’s latest song, inspired by Where the Crawdads Sing, has us feeling transported to the marsh. “I knew I wanted to be a part of [Where The Crawdads Sing] from the musical side,” the singer wrote. With its haunting melody and beautiful lyrics, we’d say she nailed it… Click on the image to hear the beautiful song – we’re loving it!
