On the third Thursday evening of every month, Summerville’s downtown square becomes a real block party! Businesses stay open later; live music wafts along the breeze from various bars and restaurants. Last month we saw live acts performing on the square as well as at Home Brew, Montreux, Wine & Tapas and Coastal Coffee!
Since this is our first official Third Thursday as Main Street Reads, what better way to celebrate than with a couple of authors whose books are both set to a cool beat.
So, get ready to rock at Main Street Reads with E. David Moulton (Prodigal Child) and Mary Ogden Fersner (The Guitarist) will be signing their books and talking music in a special “Music and Lyrics” evening.
Accompanying them on guitar, Summerville’s own Michael Kaltofen, a regularly featured performer at the Summerville Porch Jams! (Little known bit of trivia – Michael’s wife, artist Karin Kaltofen, designed the Main Street Reads logo as well as our “Believe in Your Shelf” t-shirts emblems!
We promise an early evening of fun, beginning at 5 pm March 21…
Killer Thriller Saturday with Christopher Bowron
It was a great Saturday at Main Street Reads with the Shamrock festivities going on all day at Hutchinson Square. Thriller author Christopher Bowron traveled down from Canada to join us, signing copies of his best-selling novels Devil in the Grass, The Palm Reader and The Body Thieves.
If you couldn’t come out, or tried and couldn’t find a parking spot for a mile (we get it!) you can still get a signed copy of any/all of the three books, while supplies last; we had Chris sign our in-house stock. Call 843-875-5171 if you want to reserve one, or stop by during our regular hours.
Watch our calendar for upcoming signings, including a children’s book day in the works!
