Counting Down to a Happy New Year…

Here comes the countdown! Tomorrow night we bid farewell to 2021 and howdy-do to 2022… and with it lots to read and discuss. But first, a fond wish from Shari, Emma, Sarah, Kirsten, Hannah and Makayla for a healthy, prosperous and joyous New Year!

New Year’s Hours

We’ll close early (3 p.m.) on New Year’s Eve and will be open for limited hours on Saturday, New Year’s Day, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in case you have a hankering for a new book for the new year or need that calendar or day planner right away. We have several to choose from of course!

Travel Our Nation… in Books

We’re super excited to bring you a new feature at Main Street Reads in 2022! Throughout the year we’ll be “traveling” from state to state with a curated book list each week, featuring books from the featured “State of the Week.”

Each list will include both fiction and non-fiction, with adult and young reader titles so families can jump on the fun together! We begin with Alabama and you can view the first week’s list above. Happy Reading!!!
