I just returned from an amazing event in Washington, D.C., Meta Boost Gather 2022, where small business leaders from across the country gathered to learn, network, and even meet with policymakers on issues important to small businesses in our states. Happy to report that South Carolina was well represented as fifteen of us from the upstate to the lowcountry had the opportunity to share our visions for a thriving community. I was honored to represent Summerville and brag on our town and all of you. Summerville proud? You bet!
Third Thursday is ULTRA special tonight: “Author Author” will include Lindy Carter signing The Rice Birds at the bookstore, as well as favorite local authors at the nearby Timrod Library (217 Central Ave.) including Jewel Sweeney, local historian George McDaniel, Southern novelist Susan Chellis, and adventure writer Don Best.
The theme is Fiesta Cultural throughout the downtown area – plenty of treats and fun to be had so come hang out this Thursday at our monthly town block party – bring your friends and make a night of it!
We’ll have wine and cheese at the store, too. Stop by and join the fun on Main Street…
