Author! Author! This Thursday at Timrod and MSR

MSR’s Shari Stauch and Stacy Willingham

Before we jump into the week ahead, we thank Stacy Willingham for a delightful Meet the Author event Saturday afternoon. Readers were eager to engage with this NYT-bestselling author about the amazing A Flicker in the Dark.

Lindy Carter

For those of you who had to miss the big event, we held aside a dozen signed copies, available on a first-come/first-served basis. We’re already looking forward to her next book releasing in early 2023, and having her back in Summerville…

On Tuesday, our “Living Large” book club will be chatting about The Rice Birds by Lindy Carter, and on Thursday, Lindy will be LIVE at Main Street Reads during the town’s Third Thursday activities to sign books for fans.

And Third Thursday is ULTRA special this week: “Author Author” will include Lindy at the bookstore, as well as local favorite authors at the nearby Timrod Library (217 Central Ave.) will include Jewel Sweeney, local historian George McDaniel, Southern novelist Susan Chellis, and adventure writer Don Best.

Throughout the downtown area, the theme is Fiesta Cultural – plenty of treats and fun to be had so come hang out this Thursday at our monthly town block party – bring your friends and make a night of it!
