Yep, another big week at Main Street Reads. Saturday’s launch party for Regina Williams’ new release of Promise was a sell-out event (we’ve placed a re-order and will post when a new shipment of books arrive!
Today is the Summerville Christmas Parade; and this week’s Third Thursday will feature a special event and signing here with the incomparable Ruthie Landis from Chicago! Then, wrapping up the week on Saturday (the LAST Saturday to shop before Christmas) will be a special book signing with Charysse Johnson, traveling down from Charlotte to visit with you. Let’s give these visiting authors a warm Summerville welcome! Event details below; we’ll see you on Main Street!
TODAY’S PARADE Highlights
- The Parade is produced and powered by Summerville DREAM with the assistance of the Summerville Fire and Police Departments, featuring bands, dancers, floats and more!
- Great opportunity to do holiday shopping! Downtown Summerville has outstanding shops, boutiques and restaurants throwing their doors wide open on this special day.
- The parade starts at 2 pm and runs an hour and a half to two hours, complete by 4 pm.
- We encourage attendees to arrive early as this is a heavily attended event. No street parking on the event route!
- COVID norms need to be supported – social distance as best you can and face coverings strongly encouraged.
- We’ll have a limited number of seats for Main Street Reads customers and will release those at 1:45 to the general public, so plan to arrive by 1:30.
- We’ll have lots of hot chocolate and mini candy canes available in the store for our valued readers!
