Join us this Saturday for Bookstore Romance Day! All romance titles, including historical fiction and romantic suspense, will be on sale, and we’ll have a surprise author or two in attendance!
This year includes 16 virtual panels with more than 60 participating authors over two days–Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22. AND, we’ve built special lists at our online Bookshop to get you started, plus a look at favorite in-store romance titles! CLICK HERE or on the image below – many of these great titles are in our store so you can call and reserve your copies for pickup as well!
The Bookstore Romance Day focus this year is on crossover fiction because Romance encompasses so much more than what many people often assume and Romance tropes and elements can be found in nearly every other genre of fiction. This year’s Bookstore Romance Day Ambassador is powerhouse writing duo Kit Rocha, whose Mercenary Librarians series so brilliantly straddles the worlds of Romance and post-apocalyptic Science Fiction. “The Kits” (aka Bree and Donna) will be in conversation with another powerhouse writing duo, Christina Lauren, at 3 pm Eastern on Saturday.
The full programming schedule can be found on the Bookstore Romance Day website here. All events are ticketed, but tickets are free. Space is limited, however, so make sure you register for any sessions you would like to attend. We’ll try to have some sessions going on at the bookstore as well.
All registered attendees of A Little Bit Gothic; Double Your Fun with Cross-Genre Romance;Ghouls, Golems, and Giggles; and Historical Mystery, with Love will be entered to win a collection of books from sponsoring partners St. Martin’s Press.

School started MONDAY! Here at Main Street Reads in Summerville, we want to celebrate TEACHERS!
The simple form HERE will let anyone nominate a teacher of the week so our whole community can celebrate and show our gratitude!
