Spring has officially arrived with the azaleas, and we’re leaning all the way in — with a week full of stories, community, creativity, and one of the most beautiful weekends of the year: Flowertown Festival! 🌺📚
Let’s take a look at what’s happening…
📚 This Week at the Bookstore
We’re keeping things cozy (and bookish, of course!) leading into the weekend:
Monday, March 23 – Main Street Writes (Virtual, 6:30–8:00 pm)
For the writers, dreamers, and “I’ve always wanted to…” folks — our weekly writers group is the place to show up, share, and create.
Tuesday, March 24 – Books & Banter Fiction Book Club (6:30–8:00 pm)
This month we’re diving into The Pohaku by Jasmin Iolani Hakes — a thoughtful, discussion-worthy read that’s perfect for lively conversation (and yes, wine + apps included!).
Wednesday, March 25 – Stories on the Square (9:30–10:00 am)
Our midweek storytime tradition continues! Bring the kiddos for a joyful, engaging morning of stories and smiles.
🌺 Flowertown Festival Weekend is Here!
Summerville’s most iconic weekend is almost here — and the town will be bursting with azaleas, wisteria, and visitors from near and far.
Friday–Sunday, March 27–29 – Flowertown Festival
We’ll be soaking in the energy all weekend long — and we hope you will too!
✨ Come See Us Saturday!
Saturday, March 28 – Summerville Spring Market (8:00 am–6:00 pm)
We’ll have a booth right at the entrance to the Flowertown Festival — stop by to browse books, say hello, and soak up a little literary magic in the middle of all the festivities.
We’ll have signing authors on hand, including EM Etheridge, Kem Welch, Mark Beasley and AF Winter, and Annika will be face painting, too!
🌸 A Perfect Sunday Wind-Down
After a bustling festival weekend, we’ve created the perfect exhale:
Sunday, March 29 – Pages & Petals: Bookmark Making (4:30 pm)
The festival ends at 4:00 pm… At 4:30, come retreat into the calm of the bookstore. We’ll have:
- 🌿 A creative, hands-on bookmark workshop
- 🍷 Wine, treats, and all the cozy vibes
- 📖 A chance to reconnect with your reading life after the whirlwind
It’s a peaceful way to close out a big, beautiful weekend. TIX HERE!
