New Books Have Arrived!

First, we hope you’re all keeping your social distance and staying healthy. We’ve been keeping the literary lights on at Main Street Reads and letting folks browse (one at a time, please) and doing plenty of online ordering and curbside deliveries.

Today, as we promised last week, we got a new shipment of books in that focus mainly on young readers, and several cookbooks (hey, might as well try a new recipe while we’re homebound, eh?). So, we rebuilt the featured inventory list and put all the new titles in green at the top, ALL of which are discounted to 50% off! Here’s a look:

If you need to place an order for pickup or delivery, contact the store at 843-875-5171 OR 843-834-1872. View the in-stock list HERE.

Book Clubs AND Events on Hold

Since we haven’t heard from folks on clubs (hey, we get it!), we’re going to put them on hold for now and we’re working to announce some virtual events that will let us gather and chat with each other and with authors. Your safety is our primary concern!

For tonight’s “Living Large” club – we’ll chat by phone if you like – at 6:30 call into 605-313-5164 and use access code 892009# – and if no one shows up on the call we’ll simply reschedule for another time – Your safety is our primary concern!

Order Online: Our User-Friendly Experience

We’re still adding suggested titles to enjoy on our curated lists at our online ordering page bookshop.org – We invite you to browse our suggestions or search for any book! Below are current lists we’ve built to amuse:

Catch up on the classics! New 50% off classic titles

We’ll be back Sunday to post you on the latest updates and useful resources for you and your families… Continue to take the very best care of you and yours, appreciate the work our first responders and healthcare workers are doing for us all, and reach out if we can be of assistance. Keep calm and read on!
