Happy Holidays fellow book nerds! I know our regular posting date is Sunday, but figured y’all had enough to do and celebrate on Christmas Eve, so this quick update will detail our closing/opening hours and some upcoming fun.
And may we say, from all of us at Main Street Reads, how we’ve enjoyed this holiday season with all of you! All our bright blessings for a blissful holiday ahead, and we’ll have one more post update next Sunday to sum up 2023 and look ahead to all that’s in store in ’24.

Super Saturday: Yeah, That’s a Thing…
So apparently “Super Saturday” is the last Saturday before Christmas, which, according to all the news reports we’ve been seeing, 148 million people will be out doing a LOT of shopping. Don’t worry, they won’t ALL be here, but it IS going to be a big day, so we’ll have hot chocolate and treats available for weary shoppers. Stop on by and share a cup of cheer with us!
Yes, We’re Open Christmas Eve!
Tomorrow, Christmas Eve Day, we’ll be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for all you last-last-last minute shoppers. And then we’ll be closed on Christmas Day, and will re-open for shoppers at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 26th.
We’ll also be open New Year’s Eve Day, closing at our usual Sunday 4 p.m., and we’ll be CLOSED on New Year’s Day so we can all take a day off and work on those uplifting 2024 intentions and inspirations. Sounds like less work than resolutions, right?
ALSO – Main Street Writes is on break until January 8th, when we’ll meet LIVE in the store. Stories on the Square will happen on Wednesday as regularly scheduled. Remember, if it’s chilly, we’ll be in the store to protect our littles.
Just One Month ‘Til Stacy Willingham!
January 22nd is the big day and ticket sales are already brisk! Make sure you grab yours. It’s the same price as the book, but includes the book AND the talk AND the treats! We’re keeping the list of all those registered to make sure you’re the first to grab Only If You’re Lucky on the January 16th release date, OR you can pick it up at the event.
