Happy Cinco De Mayo! Here's FIVE Events to Celebrate:

Is it pure coincidence that we have FIVE fun events lined up this week, beginning today, on the 5th of May, better known as Cinco de Mayo?

Maybe… maybe not. But the fun kicks off TODAY either way, with a book signing by Roger Jones today at 2 p.m. – come on out and enjoy meeting this author, getting a signed copy of The Final Victory, and enjoying a treat or two on us.

On Monday, more treats and plenty of word fun when Main Street Writes meets LIVE at the store. If you have a story, or a poem, or an essay, or just some thoughts you’d like to share, this is the group for you. Our writer’s group is chock full of talent, eager to help each other, and always up for a laugh or two. While the gang meets every week via Zoom, the first Monday each month meets live, with remote members joining in online.

On Tuesday, it’s our big book launch for the much-anticipated southern fiction spectacular, When Cicadas Cry. Author Caroline Cleveland will be here to meet readers and sign the new book, releasing that day!

And, if you buy the book here, you’ll also get 10% off at Frothy Beard next door. Nothing goes better with a great southern book than a great southern brew! Treats from Frothy Beard will also be served at the store, so come on out and join the fun between 6-8 pm. Event details HERE!

Three down, two to go – next up is Friday night’s Sounds on the Square. We’ll stay open late that evening and keep the doors open so you can hear from inside or wander in for a break and a treat.

Don’t miss out on the ‘The Smalls Experience’ band performing that evening. Bring your own chairs or blankets and enjoy a great evening in historic downtown Summerville.
