Above: Our “T’was the Night Before Christmas” theme had us all in pjs and enjoying a cozy “fire” complete with stockings, mice, and of course books! From left to right, Emma June, Shari, Kirsten and Sarah – thanks to all y’all for sharing the evening with us!
Lately the question hasn’t been “What’s going on in Summerville this week?” but rather, “What’s NOT?!” On the heels of a gorgeous tree lighting in the square on Tuesday (our Night Before Christmas theme can be seen above) comes tomorrow’s evening shopping extravaganza, complete with sugary delights as historic downtown Summerville hosts a holiday Dessert Stroll! Check out the map below for all the places you can sweeten your evening… and we’ll have some coffee here for customers as well to wash it all down…
Deals and Deadlines
With the holidays come logistical challenges so we want to make you aware of a few things that will hopefully make your gift gathering easier this year!
All orders going forward must be pre-paid: The simple fact is, we’re running out of space and pre-paying encourages faster pickup and quicker reshelving or storing should a book be “abandoned” by its prospective owner. If you’ve ordered books already and haven’t yet come to get them – PLEASE do, and thank you for helping us out with that.
Deadlines for orders to arrive before holidays: Distributors are working fast and furious to get books our way and yours. So far they’re doing a fantastic job. We’ll absolutely tell you if an item is on backorder in case you need to choose another, but please keep in mind that December 10th is our “safe date” to ensure your books arrive before Christmas. After that you know we’ll try our best, but don’t delay – order early! (It’s less stressful, right?)
Holiday catalogs have arrived! And, because they (like everything these days) ran a bit behind when they were supposed to be delivered, we’re honoring the catalog coupons from now through the end of 2021. You’ll see a “December 10th” deadline on there – ignore it and we will, too! Note: The coupons are eligible for storewide purchases, not just what’s shown in catalog.
