To all you dads, granddads, sons and daughters out there, a very happy Father’s Day to all. We wish you a day filled with joy, laughter, great weather and great books!
We’ll get right to it today so you can get onto barbecuing and bike riding and that best new read. FOUR BIG things to know this week:
- Today is the last day of our Father’s Day Blind Date with a Book weekend. While supplies last, every book purchase earns you a free blind date book.
- Our new Middle Grade Book club happens on Monday evening at 5:30 at the bookstore. All are welcome – we’ll bring the pizza, you bring the fun. We’ll be chatting about the second in the Islander’s series: Search for Treasure!
- Third Thursday happens this week AND we have a stellar author, Mindy Friddle, with her latest novel, Her Best Self. Come grab a signed copy and see why she’s winning all the book awards.
- Saturday is our joint celebration of Mary Alice Monroe and Angela May’s big release of the third in the Islanders trilogy, Shipwrecked. From 10 a.m. ’til noon we’ll have author signings, treats on the square and more. Bring those middle-grade readers out for a very special morning in Summerville!
