Thriller Book Club This Week!

Wow – there’s so much to talk about I don’t even know where to begin, so let’s jump right on in – the water’s warm (or will be by this afternoon):

Yes, today is the last day of a fantastic Flowertown Festival AND we have Margaret Seidler here from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. signing her new release, Payneful Business: Charleston’s Journey to Truth. Come grab your signed copy before they’re gone!

And while I’m on the subject of the Flowertown Fest, can we just give a shout-out to the organizers, the local merchants, and especially our Summerville police department? Everyone is going above and beyond to help… I’ve been fiercely proud of our town and its citizens this weekend – you should be too – thanks Summerville Strong!

On Monday, our Main Street Writes awesome tribe of writers meets LIVE in the store. Come join the fun with your words and get some great input from some phenomenal local talent. Those who can’t join us live are dialed in via Zoom. MORE HERE!

On Tuesday, the much-anticipated discussion of Alex Michaelides’s The Fury happens. As always, we’ll have wine and treats – we’ve really been looking forward to this one!

Two BIG events coming our way soon as well. First, end of this month is Indie Bookstore Day, and boy oh boy do we have some fun in store. There’ll be items you can only get on the day, as well as author appearances all day long, and an extended morning Story Time… PLUS we’ll have free gifts for everyone who comes to the store that day. Yes, everyone! Details to come, but mark those calendars for April 27th; it’s going to be LIT(erary)!

And on May 7th, exactly one month from today, we’re hosting a very special launch party for When Cicadas Cry by Caroline Cleveland, and you’re invited! WATCH FOR DETAILS HERE AND ON OUR SOCIALS THIS WEEK!

In this stunning debut by a South Carolina attorney, Zach Stander, a lawyer with a past, and Addie Stone, his indomitable detective and lover, find themselves entangled in secrets, lies, and murder in a small Southern town.

Ideal for fans of mystery, suspense, and thrillers in the vein of Karin Slaughter’s Pretty Girls and Stacy Willingham’s A Flicker in the Dark, as well as for readers who followed the high-profile Murdaugh murder trial, held in the same small town as in When Cicadas Cry.
