We’re still glowing from the unforgettable afternoon we spent yesterday with Nikki Nash, author of the dazzling memoir Collateral Stardust. (See some of our shelf care crew: Kaetlin, Kristy and Emma w/Nikki above.) What an intimate and inspiring conversation, led by actor Mitch Laurance!
Nikki regaled us with behind-the-scenes tales of old Hollywood—complete with anecdotes about Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Frank Sinatra and more.
If you couldn’t make it live, don’t worry—we had Nikki sign some extra copies of Collateral Stardust! You’ll definitely want to grab one of these incredible memoirs and catch up on the magic she shared with us. Trust us: this book is as irresistible as the stories Nikki told on stage.

- 5:30–6:30 pm: Adventures in Reading Kids Club — This month’s pick is The Storyteller by Brandon Hobson. The club is free, and members get 10% off the book, PLUS we’ll have pizza, AND we’ll be making a special announcement for our young readers, so don’t miss it!
- 6:30–8:30 pm: Main Street Writes Monday — Our ever-growing writers’ group meets to share stories, ideas, and encouragement.

- 8:00–10:00 am: Peaceful Mornings: Quiet Reading Club — Bring your current read, your favorite beverage/breakfast, and enjoy quiet together time. (Please sign up HERE if you plan to attend!)
- 6:30–8:00 pm: Kiss & Tell Romance Book Club — This month we’re swooning over Older by Jennifer Hartmann. Treats are on us, conversation is on you!

- 9:30–10:00 am: Stories on the Square — Our weekly storytime adventure for kids (and kids at heart).
Thursday, September 18
- 5:30–8:30 pm: Third Thursday: October 2025! — Summerville’s favorite monthly block party. Shops open late, music, food, and fun! This month’s theme is the Sweetest Third Thursday ever!
Saturday, September 20
- 2:00–7:00 pm: Summerville Sweet Tea Festival — Celebrate the birthplace of sweet tea with vendors, music, and activities all across downtown. We’ll be in the middle of the action with books, gifts, and plenty of sweet treats!
