We hope y’all enjoyed that glorious extra hour of sleep last night—one of the few perks of Daylight Savings Time. Now, as the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we’re diving into a month packed with inspiration, creativity, and community here at Main Street Reads.
We kick things off this week with our beloved Main Street Writes Monday (for the storytellers and dreamers among us), followed by Tuesday’s Silent Nights: Quiet Reading Club—the perfect excuse to cozy up with your current read and recharge. And of course on Wednesday, it’s Stories on the Square storytime with our littles. PLUS: our Fab Fantasy Book Club meets Thursday (November 6th, featuring The Magician of Tiger Castle),
But the big excitement on our horizon?
A week from today: “Dear Everyone” with Henley Carr!
On Sunday, November 9th (3:00–5:30 p.m.), we’re honored to welcome author Henley Carr for a special Book Signing & Salon celebrating her powerful narrative nonfiction debut, Dear Everyone. This deeply moving work explores love, loss, and the connections that make us whole—a story sure to resonate with readers across generations. Expect thoughtful conversation, great company, and, of course, included refreshments! To be part of the salon (space is limited but we do have seats remaining as of today) CLICK HERE!

The rest of the month brings plenty more to look forward to—from our Thrill in the ’Ville thriller book club (Doll Parts by Penny Zang on November 11th), to our Adventures in Reading Kids Club on the 17th, and Kiss & Tell Romance club on the 18th. We’ll also celebrate Native American Heritage at Third Thursday (November 20th)—a downtown favorite—and wrap up with Book Friday and Small Business Saturday deals galore!
So grab your favorite sweater, your next great read, and come be part of the story with us this November. Stay tuned for next week too, when we’ll have some very special event announcements!
