Book Signing: School System Reform: How and Why is a Price-less Tale

The University of Texas at San Antonio economics professor Dr. John D. Merrifield is in town and will be at Main Street Reads to discuss his recent release, School System Reform: How and Why is a Price-less Tale. Merrifield’s book identifies root causes of persistently disappointing classroom outcomes, identifies the policy root causes of the classroom causes of our Nation at Risk, persistently low school system performance, and then lays out a strategy for identifying the key elements of a high-performing school system, and achieving their implementation. Teachers and parents will find this discussion particularly interesting. Dr. Merrifield will be at the store from 4 – 6 p.m. this Saturday, January 25th.
