Celebrating Our Furry and Feathered Friends...

I just returned from a brief but wonderful five days in Montana/Wyoming with the family and boy oh boy did we see some amazing animals! Black bear (first day sighting), elk, moose, and in Yellowstone, plenty of beautiful bison AND a rare grizzly bear sighting! No matter how old we get, there’s always the childlike excitement seeing an animal in its natural habitat.

Obviously, those luxuries are few and far between for most of us (unless you count the deer and rabbits and occasional raccoons eating up our spring and summer plantings). But that’s one more beauty of a book, isn’t it?

Chatting about our favorite animals prompted us to create a new display of clever animal and insect books in the store for your perusal. Whether your favorites are sharks (Happy Shark Week!) or birds or brilliant butterflies, there’s bound to be a creature that speaks to you.
