Six years? How ever did that happen so fast?! Yep, on March 1st, we proudly marked the 6th anniversary of Main Street Reads—a milestone that fills us with gratitude as we reflect on our journey, and excitement as we look forward to our future.
A Journey of Milestones and Memories
Over the past six years, Main Street Reads has grown from a small gathering of eager book enthusiasts into a vibrant community hub for literature, art, and conversation. We’ve now hosted hundreds of events, from book signings to book clubs, to our recent Summerville Book Festival, that have brought together authors, readers, and local creatives, forging connections that go far beyond the pages of a book.
And thanks to all of you, every event has contributed to the tapestry of stories and shared experiences that define our close-knit community. We’ve been privileged to be part of so many engaging discussions, unexpected discoveries, and unforgettable moments.
We’re honored to be woven into the fabric of this wonderful community, collaborating with local organizations and schools, and participating in major events like the Summerville Book Festival. These connections have truly amplified our shared passion for the written word.
And let me say it again: None of this would be possible without you—our loyal readers, passionate authors, and dedicated community members. Your enthusiasm for literature and community spirit has fueled our mission to create a welcoming space where stories are celebrated and new connections are made.
Thank you for being an essential part of our journey.
Now We’re Looking Ahead

Our commitment to hosting compelling events, gathering for great club conversations, and championing important literature, remains unwavering. We look forward to continuing this incredible journey with you—exploring new stories and celebrating the power of books to transform lives.
