Sunday, July 26, from 2:30–4:00 p.m., we’ll welcome bestselling Southern historical fiction author Lindy Keane Carter to Main Street Reads to celebrate her brand-new novel, The Irish Visitor.
If you loved The Rice Birds (and so many of our readers did!), you won’t want to miss this special afternoon. Lindy will be signing books, chatting with readers, and we’ll have complimentary treats as we celebrate the release of her newest novel.
Set in the turbulent days following the Civil War, The Irish Visitor tells the unforgettable story of two women—one a former enslaved house servant, the other the plantation’s former mistress—who find themselves battling over the future of a devastated South Carolina rice plantation. When a starving Irish immigrant arrives carrying mysterious seeds hidden in her skirts and an unexpected plan for survival, all three women’s lives are forever changed.
Admission is free, and signed copies will be available throughout the afternoon.
