To say we’ve been busy since Flowertown Fest would be a definite understatement. After a FABULOUS Flowertown Festival weekend (I mean, who ordered the weather, right?), we’re ready to KEEP. ON. PARTYING.
Happily, so are all our friendly neighborhood establishments in the heart of historic downtown Summerville!
This Thursday, that means THIRD THURSDAY and the theme is “Flower the Town,” celebrating all the new flowers you’ve seen being installed around town, including just outside Main Street Reads and Frothy Beard.
A timely event too, since the following Monday is Earth Day, so we’ll begin our Earth Day celebrations early with 10% off gardening, conservation, and climate-themed books, PLUS we’ll be giving out free Hawaiian flower leis to customers – COME JOIN THE FUN and grab a lei!
If you haven’t been to Third Thursday, you’re missing our town’s awesome monthly block party – live bands, food trucks, booths, and late hours for downtown businesses – this night is our town’s monthly block party, just for YOU!

The highlight of indie bookstores from coast to coast each year is Independent Bookstore Day, the last Saturday each April that celebrates indie bookstores and our incredible readers! As always, we’ll have exclusive products on the big day, author appearances, and more, beginning with Storytime for our young readers at 9 a.m. and continuing right on through the day with treats, specials, appearances by favorite local authors and more!
When you visit Main Street Reads on April 27th, EVERYONE GETS:
