Elaine Reed, romance author and president of the Lowcountry Romance Writers, will present on the Kiss & Tell Romance panel.

This win-win is starting to feel like a lose-lose. For the past two years, Justin Arnold has been on tour with his band, Words Fail Me.

Vaughn Williams is the woman Justin sees whenever he’s home. She’d like to say that she hasn’t thought about him once while he was gone, but that would be a lie.

They’re only supposed to be friends with benefits. Except now that Justin’s sticking around to finish his next album, he’s becoming a regular fixture in her life.

That used to work for Vaughn. But she’s not sure her heart can take it. Not when she knows that he’ll go on tour soon and leave her behind. Again. She should tell him she can’t do this anymore, but she’s never been able to tell him no.

When Justin’s offered the lead role on a reality dating show, Vaughn is sure it’ll be a win-win for them. He’ll get to have his fun and she’ll get to try to move on.

No one was supposed to get hurt. But the more they’re apart, the more Vaughn can’t help but feel that she’s made a terrible mistake. Even though nothing has changed, Vaughn wonders whether not seeing Justin for a few months is better than never having him again.

Elaine Reed writes contemporary romance and women’s fiction and is the president of Lowcountry Romance Writers. She lives in Summerville, part of South Carolina’s Lowcountry.
