This special event includes an on-stage conversation with her longtime friend and acclaimed actor Mitch Laurance, followed by a reception just steps away at Main Street Reads.

Hollywood-born, Nikki Nash’s career spanned behind-the-scenes and on-screen roles with Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Soul Train, Love Connection, The Academy Awards, Ellen, Jeopardy!, and a twelve-year run with Conan O’Brien.

About Mitch Laurance

From his early days producing Saturday Night Live to decades as an actor on LA Law, Dawson’s Creek, Not Necessarily the News, and films like The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Mitch Laurance has spent a lifetime telling stories on stage, screen, and in sports broadcasting, including twenty years as the commentator of pro billiards on ESPN.

But it was in the 1980s, as a member of the cast of HBO’s groundbreaking “Not Necessarily the News” that he first met, and was enthralled by, Nikki Nash, one of the show’s award-winning production team, recognizing even then her unique combination of intelligence, wit, kindness and grace.
Now, more than 40 years later, the chance to host a wide-ranging conversation with the acclaimed author of the stunning memoir Collateral Stardust is a full-circle moment for Mitch, a chance to share with our awesome audience the qualities that he recognized in Nikki from their first meetups.
