DESCRIPTION:Join us on Valentine’s Day for some cheer\, treats and discussion of Stacy Willingham’s new hit\, All The Dangerous Things – we’re super excited to chat about the book (and meet with Stacy and Grady Hendrix on February 25th too!) \nWe’ll see you on Main Street… \nFollowing up her instant New York Times bestseller\, A Flicker in the Dark\, Stacy Willingham delivers a totally gripping thriller about a desperate mother with a troubled past in All the Dangerous Things. \nOne year ago\, Isabelle Drake’s life changed forever: her toddler son\, Mason\, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room. With little evidence and few leads for the police to chase\, the case quickly went cold. However\, Isabelle cannot rest until Mason is returned to her–literally. \nExcept for the occasional catnap or small blackout where she loses track of time\, she hasn’t slept in a year. \nIsabelle’s entire existence now revolves around finding him\, but she knows she can’t go on this way forever. In hopes of jarring loose a new witness or buried clue\, she agrees to be interviewed by a true-crime podcaster–but his interest in Isabelle’s past makes her nervous. His incessant questioning paired with her severe insomnia has brought up uncomfortable memories from her own childhood\, making Isabelle start to doubt her recollection of the night of Mason’s disappearance\, as well as second-guess who she can trust… including herself. But she is determined to figure out the truth no matter where it leads.

SUMMARY:Living Large Book Club: February's Pick - The Good Left Undone by Adriana Trigiani
DESCRIPTION:This was a sell-out phenom at the recent Pulpwood Queens international book club conference in Florida and our readers are raving\, so we’re super excited to chat about Adriana’s amazing work! As always\, the book is 10% off for book club pricing and we’ll have wine and treats the night of our chat… see you there! \nAN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER \n“[An] immersive saga. . . . A celebration of family and a paean to the power of storytelling.”—People\, “Book of the Week” \n“Trigiani conveys the beauty of Italy\, the hardships of war\, the taste of family recipes\, and the enduring love of family.”—Library Journal (starred) \n“The beauty of any book by Adriana Trigiani is her ability to interweave life and fiction. . . . Don’t miss your chance to take this unforgettable journey with the Cabrelli women!” –Lisa Wingate\, Book of the Month \nFrom “a master of visual and palpable detail” (The Washington Post)\, comes a lush\, immersive novel about three generations of Tuscan artisans with one remarkable secret. Epic in scope and resplendent with the glorious themes of identity and belonging\, The Good Left Undone unfolds in breathtaking turns. \nMatelda\, the Cabrelli family’s matriarch\, has always been brusque and opinionated. Now\, as she faces the end of her life\, she is determined to share a long-held secret with her family about her own mother’s great love story: with her childhood friend\, Silvio\, and with dashing Scottish sea captain John Lawrie McVicars\, the father Matelda never knew. . \nIn the halcyon past\, Domenica Cabrelli thrives in the coastal town of Viareggio until her beloved home becomes unsafe when Italy teeters on the brink of World War II. Her journey takes her from the rocky shores of Marseille to the mystical beauty of Scotland to the dangers of wartime Liverpool–where Italian Scots are imprisoned without cause–as Domenica experiences love\, loss\, and grief while she longs for home. A hundred years later\, her daughter\, Matelda\, and her granddaughter\, Anina\, face the same big questions about life and their family’s legacy\, while Matelda contemplates what is worth fighting for. But Matelda is running out of time\, and the two timelines intersect and weave together in unexpected and heartbreaking ways that lead the family to shocking revelations and\, ultimately\, redemption.

She doesn’t want to leave her daughter with her ex and fly to Charleston. She doesn’t want to deal with her family home\, stuffed to the rafters with the remnants of her father’s academic career and her mother’s lifelong obsession with puppets and dolls. She doesn’t want to learn how to live without the two people who knew and loved her best in the world. \nMost of all\, she doesn’t want to deal with her brother\, Mark\, who never left their hometown\, gets fired from one job after another\, and resents her success. Unfortunately\, she’ll need his help to get the house ready for sale because it’ll take more than some new paint on the walls and clearing out a lifetime of memories to get this place on the market. \nBut some houses don’t want to be sold\, and their home has other plans for both of them… \nLike his novels The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires and The Final Girl Support Group\, How to Sell a Haunted House is classic Hendrix: equal parts heartfelt and terrifying–a gripping new read from “the horror master” (USA Today). \nREGISTER HERE!\nFollowing up her instant New York Times bestseller\, A Flicker in the Dark\, Stacy Willingham delivers a totally gripping thriller about a desperate mother with a troubled past in All the Dangerous Things. \nOne year ago\, Isabelle Drake’s life changed forever: her toddler son\, Mason\, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room.
